2022 has been something of a transitional year for us.
At the beginning of the year we resumed filming our documentary on Living Rent, balancing that alongside the upheaval of moving to a new place in a new area, and trying to adjust to all the changes that entailed!
Throughout filming we met countless passionate activists fighting for material improvements for renters, battling against rogue landlords and rent rates spiralling out of control. We are proud to have reflected their solidarity for one another on film.
As we neared completion of the film, we were contacted by JustRight Scotland, asking if we could create five videos for their upcoming fifth year anniversary event. It was a privilege to be considered, and an exciting challenge to put each video together. Learning about their humane, vital work was a fantastic experience.
In the summer we renewed our Routines series, adding another 14 individual Routines to our ever-growing collection. It was a pleasure to meet a new bunch of people, and rediscover what we love most about Routines: our commonalities prevail over our differences. These latest 14 comprise Routines Part Six.
This was followed by our most ambitious fiction project yet: The Mockumentary Man. The premise, loosely based around fictionalising Alastair Rennie in an interview format, allowed us the chance to explore multiple different strands, twisting the boundaries of the mockumentary to suit our own carefully constructed, weird-as-hell form! We packed the entirety of production into one week. It was intense, manic, hectic, all those words that mean the same thing, and it was also amazing and so much fun!
Since completing the Mockumentary Man, we have turned our attentions to launching our new video production service. We are now open for business, and eager to create that all-important, difference-making video for you.
In the New Year, we will be launching our next service. We can’t wait to share it with everyone! Keep your eyes peeled!
